This antique French circular fireplace is crafted from beautifully veined Carrara marble, in which the natural veining is expressed clearly and vividly. The fireplace has graceful lines and a taller, stately presence, with a subtle yet refined ornament in the front that lends the whole an elegant appearance. The consoles stand characteristically at a 45-degree angle, creating a fine play of depth and perspective. The vaulted mantel shelf completes the design and gives the fireplace a soft, flowing form. The depth of this circular fireplace makes it suitable for housing a wood stove, open fire or an electric fire, for example.
