The rectangular firebox opening is flanked by calm, straight jambs that rise into understated consoles, on which the frieze and mantel shelf rest.<\/p>\n
The substantial mantel shelf gives the fireplace a stately silhouette and creates a fine play of shadow along the edges, allowing the clean profile to show at its best.<\/p>\n
The included steel insert features a fine diamond motif with subtle floral accents in each panel, framed by a stepped profile around the hearth opening. The deep-black steel forms a striking contrast with the light marble and brings depth and craftsmanship to the heart of the fireplace.<\/p>\n
