At the centre of the frieze sits a white panel with a finely sculpted laurel branch, flanked by white rosettes in the upper corners. The jambs carry continuous fluting that gives the fireplace a vertical, stately elegance, resting at the base on a calm block-shaped foot.<\/p>\n
