This stylish antique front fireplace is executed in the exclusive Arabescato marble, recognisable by its bright white base with lively, restless grey veining. This marble – from the Italian Apuan Alps – is prized for its expressive figuring and luxurious appearance, and was historically used in elegant interiors and monumental buildings.
The design of the fireplace is classic and symmetrical in build. Floral motifs are finely worked into the corners, while the consoles are subtly finished with vertical carved detailing that gives depth and rhythm to the design. At the centre of the front sits a restrained ornament that elegantly breaks up the composition. The multi-layered mantel shelf gives the fireplace added volume and a rich finish.
