Luxury French Antique Front Shell Fireplace in White Carrara Marble

An antique French front fireplace in white Carrara marble with soft grey veining, executed in a rich and refined Louis model. A fireplace from the luxury segment, in which the craftsmanship returns in every detail.

The heart of the front is formed by a beautifully sculpted shell, flanked by gracefully fanning foliage and curling rocaille work. The side panels carry additional carved detailing, a refinement applied only to the finer fireplaces, lending the whole its opulent, regal appearance. The scalloped frieze follows the curve of the opening in a calm, undulating line, so that the profile reads as one flowing whole.

The jambs rise into elegantly drawn consoles and finish at the base in a finely sculpted floral motif at the plinth, a final detail that underlines the care of the carving.

The three-part mantel shelf follows the lines of the fireplace with its moulded edge, giving the whole a stately, layered silhouette with a fine play of shadow along the edges.

The fireplace is supplied including a matching marble floor slab.
