Renzo van Engelen
A very exclusive fireplace carved from Bleu Saint Rémy marble. This antique fireplace has its origins in an 18th-century château near Geraardsbergen, Belgium. Not only the marble is special, but also the made-to-measure cast-iron insert is beautiful. All the details are clearly visible in the iron and are an expression of craftsmanship and passion.
The marble is inlaid with bronze ornaments on the consoles and the front, something we rarely come across. Here too the workmanship is lavish. The Bleu Saint Rémy marble has a beautiful figuring with restless white veining that shows beautifully in the large mantel shelf. This mantel shelf is imposing in size, with a width of 168 cm. On the front and above the consoles, a flower and adjacent leaves of white marble have been applied. This special, exclusive fireplace calls for a stately space in which it will be the pièce de résistance.
