The marble quality of this fireplace is exceptional. The black Noir de Mazy marble has a sheen that is unusual.

Approach

Three steps, one obsession.

  1. 01

    The search

“Where there is historically significant architecture,
I find my greatest treasures.”

Great service, very personal and knowledgeable. The result will follow in a while… from France:

Through Otto Vuur in Leiden we got in touch with Renzo van Engelen, who had the perfect fireplace for us! Very pleasant and quick communication, reliable, and the delivery was fast and uncomplicated. Highly recommended!

Dorothea Klewin October 2025

Through Renzo we obtained a fantastic "new old" fireplace. As we were staying abroad ourselves, we had to arrange everything online and via WhatsApp. Renzo was extremely reachable and thought along with us a great deal; within a week we were able to make our choice from the enormous range, right through to delivery and coordinating with the contractor, truly wonderful. We have another fireplace in the house and we will certainly come back to Renzo for it. Thank you for the excellent service!

Dani Gutierrez March 2025

This weekend we decided that we would very much like to put an old fireplace back in our new house. All that is left in the front room is a chimney. It is a building from the beginning of the last century. When we googled antique fireplaces we found Renzo's business. It turned out to be right around the corner. How nice is that! An appointment was made in no time and we went there the same day. Renzo has a great many fireplaces, each one more beautiful than the last. Many of them from Rotterdam and The Hague as well, matching the houses in the region. He tells you about them with a lot of passion. A very nice conversation! We made up our minds very quickly. So happy with our beautiful acquisition! To our great delight Renzo was able to install the fireplace just two days later. What a craftsman! The end result is truly fantastic. The neighbours and the contractor have noted down Renzo's number ☺️ and from now on we also know where to go for a beautiful fireplace and really fine work. Many thanks Renzo!

Bibi van den Berg March 2025

Renzo is a fantastic craftsman! He was recommended to us and we have not regretted it for a moment. He replaced an ugly electric fire, opened up and rebuilt the flue, and installed a magnificent marble fireplace. All within two days! He works exceptionally neatly and thinks along with you. He is honest and reliable! Thank you Renzo! We cannot recommend him enough.

Cindy Broadbridge March 2025

Renzo has a lot of options, thinks along with customers, and responds fast and with valuable feedback.

robbert van der heijde January 2025

Renzo has now built two stoves for us. What a craftsman and what a passion. Expert and honest advice. I would recommend him to anyone, and for every next stove I know where to find him!

Juliette Serra December 2020

Good and honest advice from a specialist, and skilled workmanship on the beautiful fireplaces.
