A beautifully decorated antique white marble front fireplace in Carrara marble. What a special find this is! From a stately villa in Belgium comes this fireplace decorated with garlands. The garlands extend across the entire width of the front; they were therefore not added later, but carved from a large block of marble. We see the garlands recur on the consoles as well. The inner frame is decorated with a ribbon of coins. The mantel shelf is executed in three layers and beautifully follows the lines of the fireplace.
